Though, if you have them, and you don't want to buy a WinXP license, like me for example, if I already have Win2k3, and I can use it for gaming as well, why buying WinXP? I can guarantee you that there are many people that are using server operating system from simple reasons, even at home, and if they can play, why wouldn't they?
Also, Windows is an os that has those "small things", that for many maybe they doesn't matter, but for many, and as for others as well, yes they sure do And like some of you said, yep indeed it sure gives you that " pro " air Anyway, it's the way I am, I am not stopping because some of the people don't like this idea or stuff like these.

I use it for gaming as well, and believe me, I didn't encounter any problems until now. Joined Mar 24, Messages 19, Why is this still being debated. In order to make 2K3 act more like a gaming platform, you have to make it resemble XP. Even the tweak guides explain that. So why the hell not just use XP if your going to be gaming?
The parts that differ in 2K3 are the parts you have to change to make it ok for gaming. Did common sense become barred from this thread or what? Yep indeed it covers some points, though it also covers some useless things, and I kinda don't agree with many things in that tutorial, like the shutdown tracker, the IE Enhanced Security etc. Hmm, still no one to help with hosting some files for Win2k3 for others to download? I am on the side why make 2K3 look like XP when you can buy XP, but if people have access to a copy cheap school, etc then this info might be useful to them as they might want to try to learn on the machine they game on.
While the ideal situation is that you get 2K3 and put it on a seperate machine to learn some don't have that luxury. I reiterate it is pointless to go purchase 2K3 to make it run like XP, especially since 2K3 is much more expensive. You don't get any benefits from 2K3 except learning experience. Good Luck Aryiam! It's a great OS for what it's intended for, serving. Why would someone spend about 5 times more to get a copy of a server OS when XP will do the exact same job for the typical home user?
